Marko Matvere - Georg
Marko is a highly valued and a very versatile man. He can be seen on the theatre stage, at the cinema, as well as in musicals all the time. He also plays musical instruments and sings, sails and rides the motorcycle and simply is a very active man.
Through the years he has had roles in the films „Tulivesi”, „Vanad ja kobedad saavad jalad alla“, „Vana daami külaskäik“ and television series „Tusenbröder – Återkomsten“, „Ohtlik lend“, „M-klubi“, „Wikmani poisid“. He has dubbed many famous animated films, among these „The Ice Age” and „Leiutajateküla Lotte”.
Now, in addition to everything, Marko has started directing musicals.
Anastasia Makejeva - Asta
Anastasia is a rising star. A few years ago she came from her hometown Krasnodar to study to become an actress at Moscow’s famous theatre institute Gitis, having already acquired a degree in jazz and estrade singing.
Nastja swept director Simm off his feet with her tremendous talent and beauty on the very first time they met.
Quite a few more well known rival actresses were cast aside. Now Nastja carries the second lead role in our film that she herself also has high expectations of.
She has played in films such as „Всадник по имени Смерть“ (The Rider Named Death), „Обратный отсчет“ (Moscow Mission).
Renars Kaupers - Caesar
Renars needs no further introduction. This exceptionally warm child of the sun is equally well known both in Europe as well as in Russia. Having become famous with his cult band „Brainstorm”, he plays the role of Georg’s friend Caesar who taught the slightly bear-like Baritone to move well on the stage and also supported and helped him in his personal life.
This is not Renars’ first film role. The Latvians have made a motion picture with him named „Vecas pagastmajas misterija” (“The Mystery of Old Parish House”).
Elle Kull - Lydia
Elle is a well-known and popular actress and public figure. Throughout the years she has had many outstanding roles in various films and television plays, for example „Jade Warrior“, „Nuga“, „Gonka Veka“, „Ukuaru“, „Pisuhänd“, „Wikmani poisid“, „Karikakramäng“, „Reigi Õpetaja“, „Rudolf ja Irma“, etc.
Elle is the President of the National Committee of Estonian UNICEF and as a politician she is committed to dealing with the problems of large families.
In our film she plays the role of Georg’s mother Lydia.
Tõnu Kark - Karl
There is no one in Estonia who has not heard this name. Tõnu studied acting at the Drama Theatre’s actors’ studio and graduated in 1970. He has received various awards during his long career, among these are annual awards of the Theatre Union, best actor at the I and II film festival of Soviet Estonia, best actor in 1985.
He has played excellent roles in close to 50 films, among these „Ideaalmaastik“, „Jõulud Vigalas“, „Nipernaadi“, „Tulivesi“, „Jüri Rumm“, „Vana daami visiit“, „Lilja 4-ever“, „Head käed“, „Veepomm paksule kõutsile“, „Lammas all paremas nurgas“.
In this film Tõnu plays Georg’s father Karl – an opera singer who wanted to make an engineer out of his son.
Mirtel Pohla - Margot
Mirtel is one of Estonia’s most demanded actresses. She has played in films „Sügisball“, „Jan Uuspõld läheb Tartusse“, „Tühirand“, „Stiilipidu“, „Malev“, in television series „Kelgukoerad“ and „Kodu keset linna“. Since 2006 Mirtel is working at theatre NO99. In our film she is Georg’s first wife, the charming Margot.
Karin Touart - Ilona
Karin has been a professional top model. Her magical harsh beauty was the decisive factor in casting her to the role of Georg’s third wife Ilona.
